7/11/00 9:26:22 PM July 11, 2000: Your presentation about God's word at Landis Baptist Church is one of the best I've heard and easiest to comprehend. I'm a believer already, but I greatly need to increase my knowledge. What I base my belief on concerning the King James Bible is that no other version is any where as near as sharpe as the KJB. We have enjoyed all of your teaching at Landis baptist Church. So many of our questions have been cleared up and it is very exciting to be able to know which part of the Bible applies directly to us. It ends all the confusion.. Your book is a must have. If there's anyone who can listen to you and still think its OK to live by a modern Bible, they need more help that any human can offer. we will continue to pray for your ministry and hope your proclamation that the King James Bible is GOD'S ONLY WORD will sweep the nation. Sincerely, Douglas Dwayne, Amy, & Amanada Burris P.S. You have a great name!

7/15/00 3:16:08 PM My wife Pam said she's glad she went back with me for Friday 7/14/00 service at Landis Baptist Church. She said she certainly learned some points about the KJV Bible vs the NIV. as well as the position/power of apostate churches. Even though we do not study the NIV, you help listeners beware of the distortion and even deletion done in the NIV, changing the real meaning of key parts of the Bible from the King James Version. I am already enjoying your book, One Book Rightly Divided. God bless you, Judy and your family.

Dear Sir, You have recently visited my church and I would like to repeat the comment that I made to you then..."I truly appreciate what you have done; I have never heard a clearer explanation of the differences in the versions of the Bible" Although, I have always believed the King James was the best selection because of "faults" in the others...I was not sure what kinds of faults there were. I thank you for helping me to understand that and for you example of boldness that everyone needs in their life. Thank you!!

Dear Dr. Stauffer:
I attended your lectures and preaching at the Trinity Baptist Church. I prayed for you and your family, and thanked God for giving you the ability to research and write your books. can only imagine the extreme hours, pressure, sweat and tears that went into your work. Please advise me when the new updated book is on the market. I purchased your smaller books at the curch. Also, I would like for you to tell me where in the older version of the Living Bible, thatI can find the two references that you displayed on te screen aout the referece to S.O.B., and the other about sexual reference to animal's sex organ! I was shocked that this was actually in print in any Bible. You alo stated that you were even reluctant to display such quotes on yor screen. Pleasetellme where in the old Livig ible that can find this. I have old copy.

I attended a church today in Nicholasville Ky called Lighthouse Baptist. I thought your lecture was very exciting. Icould have listened for hours to you speak. I had never thought about the differences between the bibles. Iknew there were differences but not to the point to where they would leave out whole verses. Just in order to get a copy right. I just wanted to say thanks. I plan on getting your books.

I recently had a conversation with a friend explaining the need to expound and rightly divide the Word not correct it like the liberals do. I pointed out to him that the NIV does NOT say to study or rightly divide! I enjoyed everyone's comments, and look forward to receiving my own copy soon.

Bro. Stauffer:
Greetings in Jesus' precious name. I have written to you previously to express my appreciation for your book, One Book: Rightly Divided, but I would like to give a word of testimony concerning it for those who may read this entry. Bro. Stauffer's book is very helpful to an understanding of right division of the scriptures, as commanded by the apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 2:15. It is my persuasion that many of the heresies being spread today stem from a failure to rightly divide the word of truth. (The Gentile Jehovah's Witnesses cannot be the Jewish 144,000--Rev. 7:4!) One neglects right division to his own peril. Note in 2 Tim. 2:18 what happens when the word is not rightly divided...the faith of some can be overthrown. God bless you, Bro. Doug. I look forward to your next book.

Hello Dr. Stauffer, I have been searching for your book, "One Book Rightly Divided: The Key to understanding the Bible" this morning. I have 4 people I am ordering for, including myself. I was very proud to read about you and find out that you are from Alabama. I live in Guntersville, AL. I wish your church was a little closer. I visit with David Woods Church in Pell City. We do not have a good, sound doctrine church close to us. Plus I am spoiled to David's teaching. While I am writing I wish to put my husband, Dana Price, on your prayer list to be saved. The Lord is dealing with him right now and I pray that he will not be so pridefull and stubborn about being saved. He is totally confused because we were in a corrupt laodicean church for 5 years, until I became saved 3 years ago. He is just now coming around to even go to another church. I pray that he will be saved and will be thirsty to learn and attend a true church with me. (David's in particular). It is an hour and fifteen minute drive to get there, but truly worth it. My husband got to hear Mr. Drummond preach there a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. But still being stubborn. I don't know why I am telling you all this, but the Lord does. I am sorry if I'm carrying on. Please just pray for us.
May the Lord Bless you, Lesa Price

I am leaning heavily toward the truth presented in One Book Rightly Divided. However I am having a difficult time with the Gospel of John and the Epistles of John. John deals with the doctrine of the new birth that applies to Church Age salvation. I have always applied the Epistles of John teaching that our new nature (Christ's nature) is that part of us that is sinless. Could you give me some insight on this subject.

Doug - It's great to see how God can work in the lives of men. I hope this book is placed in every Church library and every Christian college in the USA. Maybe God will give us a second chance to correct the spirit "unbelief" that the liberals promote throughout Christianity. For too long we've called them various names and haven't produced a book that can lead them out of the darkness that they are in. Keep pressin toward the mark...... your friend - Eddie

How wonderful this work is! The teaching on the principle of God's spokesmen is indispensable. Also, I never noticed the distinction of the faith OF Jesus Christ before.
It is well known that Covenant theologians flatten all of God's revelation (as Chafer points out) but even they do not apply all OT instruction to themselves (including re-constructionists). Therefore, they hold to a form of dispensational theology. They miss the blessings of God's truth by not rightly dividing the word.

Dear Bro, Stauffer, just sending you an email to tell you how much a enjoyed your books. Your dispensational work is much needed since there is so much confusion in this area. Both works are of the highest quality and defend God's truth, both in His words found in the King James and in His methodology, that of 'rightly dividing' through dispensationalism. Thank you Dr. Stauffer for helping me rightly divide. I enjoyed especially the fact your book dispells many supposedly contradictions of the bible. When we figure out who our spokesman is, and use Paul's writings as our foundation as to where we stand on the rest of scripture, we cant help but too rightly divide. Again thank you!

I was fortunate to hear Dr. Stauffer at our church in Roy, Washington. He is a dynamic speaker and goes to the heart of the Bible. I am excited to be able to read his latest book One Book Stands Alone and will be ordering this one to share with my family.

As a Bible Believing pastor, I have been frequently faced the sometimes daunting task of introducing Christians to the concept of rightly dividing God's word. This book is an excellent introduction to the study of dispensational truth! While hours of study are required to glean this information reading after Clarence Larkin, CI Schofield and others, Dr. Stauffer does and excellent job presenting the material in a logical and easy to follow book. I highly recommend any teacher or Pastor review this work, as it is an excellent resource for those who are just beginning to study dispensation truth.

Dr. Stauffer, I am a student at Antioch Bible College in Knoxville Tn. I am constantly learning from One Book Stands Alone every time I open it. You have really been a blessing to me!

Brother Stauffer: I have been given one of your books, entitled, "One Book Rightly Divided" by a friend here at work. He is a new Christian but has listened to the critics of Dr. Hyles on the Internet and has ignored a lot of my instruction on many issues that I have tried to help him with so he could grow as God honoring child of God. Just maybe some things are getting through because he found your book on the web and apparently has met you some place here in central Florida. He gave me a copy, personally signed by you, as a gift. I don't, and he knows that I don't, read or listen to many other people too far from the Hyles' camp. I have made some choices in my walk with the Lord some 30 years ago. I decided to place myself under the teaching of only those who are doing what the Bible teaches in a practical way like, Dr. Hyles taught. I have received and listened to every sermon Dr. Hyles preached from his pulpit for 20 years. 1981-2001. His death to me was as great as losing one of my parents. I tell you that to say that I am very glad God used my friend here at work, Paul Weingand, to share your work with me. It was very well done. Honestly, I read it looking for and expecting to find error but found none. Praise God! I am buying it for my Pastor and want his opinion on it. God Bless you and your service for the Lord.

Dear Dr. Stauffer, I was just reading your book One Book Rightly Divided. I was reading chapter 5 and on page 56. The very last reference is II Timothy 2:28. It is a verse I went to read, and it doesn't exist. I understand mistakes happen so don't worry about that but I would like to have the correct one to look at. I am thoroughly enjoying your books in personal study. They are very clear and simple yet deep. Sincerely Aaron Joshua I:IX

Have not yet read "One Book Rightly Divided" but have read Dr. Bill Grady's writings. His recommendation is justification for reading it.
According to Barna Research 57% of Baptists believe works play a part in salvation. (Eph 2:8-9) A Baptist teacher's neice and nephew in one of my SS classes state this belief.
45% believe Jesus was not sinless (2 Cor. 5:21) and 49% believe that Christians have no responsibility to witness to others (Matt. 28:19).
In Central Texas a number of preachers believe the NIV or the New English "translations" are preferable to the AV. We are in deep trouble.

I'll be getting a copy of your book. I purchased a copy of Kay Arthur's book on How To Study Your Bible at the local Christian book store and it does not show you how to rightly divide the Word of God. She says you can use the inductive study method. I look forward to using your book to help me in my search through the Bible for meaning of scripture and Gods message to me. Resp. Clarence Bennett

Hi, I received your book (Rightly Divided) from my Father-in-law for my birthday last Dec. and just read it in about 2 weeks. Wow, what an eye-opener! I knew a little about dispensations growing up, but now I know enough to understand why there are divisions and to whom it was meant. I look forward to reading your other book (Stands Alone) and reading more of God's Word. The Bible means so much more to me now and is more exciting thanks to your textbook. I'm studying...and dividing! ;)

I loved the site. I do have a question. Are there churches out there other than Baptist who firmly stand on the "King James Only" view? I am Baptist. My sister is either Methodist or Lutheran, I don't think that she has decided. She claims to be saved and I sent her a whole lot of information from the internet on the differences between the King James Bible and the New International Version that she reads. I did not judge her by the book she reads or doubt her salvation. She has become very defensive and bitter toward me about the whole thing. I wanted to know if there are any in Methodist or Lutheran churches in the Bangor, PA area who could give me sister the information that is so true.

I loved your book, and am promoting it to those I know are attending churches that are teaching horrendous ERROR. I have been teaching a Walk Thru the Bible in Local churches and would like to know if I can integrate material from your book in my presentations. I teach this at every opportunity at NO charge! Also would you have any overheads I could use, or power point presentations I could use. I am extremely excited about your work and even more about confronting the abundant Error being preached here in Eastern KY. Please contact me as soon as possible either by phone @ 606-286-0386 or my email listed above. I am semi-retired @ age 63, have a small insurance business and do pulpit supply in my area when needed in Independent Baptist Churches (some of which need a lot of Help). I'm currently studying my way thru your book for a second time. Bless you for your diligent work.

I can't tell you how much your, "One Book Stands Alone" has helped me. I'm able to explain the danger of other versions to Christians I know because of the research and study that's gone into this book. Lately, I've heard on the news how different religions are changing their beliefs in order to attract new believers. I pray that those of us who believe that salvation only comes through Jesus Christ's shed blood and believe in the infallible Word of God, the King James Version 1611, will stand without wavering. I pray that we are never guilty of 'cleaning up' our beliefs by removing the blood no matter what! Our mutual friend Mrs Vivian Moore has just recovered from a serious bout of pneumonia. She seems as vibrant and strong as ever. In Christ, Sarah Johns

Dear Brother Stauffer, I just saw your book on the KJV site this morning and want to encourage you for this is the ultimate topic other than the Deity of Christ. Over the last 16 years I have also studied the subject on which Bible is correct and we have come to the same conclusion. This subject will divide more than any other issue in the local church. You will get more persecution over the King James Bible because of the so-called learned people who listen to apostate preachers and professors at the local Bible colleges. They attempted to strip my faith out of the Book that led me to Christ and my wife tells our friends that my school gave me my degree just to get rid of me because I was pointing out the errors in the new perverted bibles. The point to all of this is at least to attempt to warn your friends, your church, your ministries on the outside that there is a problem with the new bible and you will not get everything the Lord wants you to get unless you have the KJV. I lost a jail minis try over this and being the pastor of a local independent Baptist church (which has the KJV in the churches constitution) because I took a stand for the Book. This is what you call Christian persecution because everybody wants to control you for you cannot be a scholar if you believe the KJV is superior to every bible out there. Again this is to encourage, exhort you because I know what you are going through by writing this book and doing all the research and then many of your friends will kick you in the teeth. Thanks for your stand on the Word of God.

Greetings in the Name of Lord Jesus the Christ!
Here is an analogy to Abraham pleading for Sodom and Gomorrah. If there are 50, not just in 2 cities but in the entire world, that live KJV words, they prove themselves practical and neither silly nor foolish. How about 5 less than 50? 5 less?

Dear sir:
A quick question, please. Yesterday, for the first time, I used your "book store" to order 3 copies of Dr. Stauffer's ONE BOOK -- RIGHTLY DIVIDED. Total charge added to $70. Now I used the "pay by check" option, expecting then to get an opportunity to print out (at my desk) a paper order form, one that I would then mail to you (with my check). Instead I got (only) a "Thank you for your order" message. My question now to you is this. Will you be sending the books <"now"> or will you be "sitting on" this order (while awaiting my check to arrive by mail). As a first-time customer, I did not wish to "presume" either option.
Thanks for your time,
Ron

Jesus, as the Word of God remains today as despised and rejected of men as He has always been. We prefer the works of men to the Work of God and have instead of seeking Him have sought out a "simplified" and more sympathetic translation. Let not our hearts be hardened any more but let us seek Him with our whole heart that we may know the mind of the Lord.

Dear Brother Doug, I am just finishing One Book Rightly Divided and want to thank you for your dogmatic stand for the differences in the ages of God's ways of dealing with us. Most Independent Baptists, as you know, believe there are no differences in ages. They, I believe, refuse to believe the truth in order to look good for their school and constantly grieve the Holy Spirit. I have a small group of people in my Bible Institute that now have some understanding of the issue, although I do not make a big issue over the differences in ages for salvation. The majority simply are blinded to the truth. I may not agree with your every point, but your book is excellent. Sometimes, as you know, that I don't agree with myself on every point if you know what I mean. What I wanted to ask you is can I quote your book from pages 139 & 184 about Who the 12th Apostle really was. I did a major research paper beginning at least 15 years ago that never seems to be completed. The paper is always given away for no one would pay money for my views (joke)!
Recently reading Brother Jeff Williams paper IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH (A DOCTRINAL STUDY OF THE BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE MODERN CHARISMATIC MOVEMENT) which I had on my book shelf for at least 2 years before I could get to reading it also had more insight on my research paper on who really replaced Judas Iscariot. I'll send you a copy when I get the final edition completed. Quoting your book would simply enhance my view which agrees with you. Last week I showed your books to my class and a couple of them seem to be interested in purchasing your books so I gave them your info. Keep on keeping on Brother, Your friend in Christ Jesus the Lord, 1 Cor. 15:47

Dr. Stauffer,
I greatly appreciate the book, I have been in want for a tool to help me study the Bible (AV), and the format of the book answers my questions and helps me understand the word much better. I have been in Independent Baptist churches now for 14yrs, and it is true that a lot of pastors tend to side step or ignore the doctrinal application of the Tribulation and Millennium passages, and the ones that do expound on those passages, spiritualize them because they don't seem to see the doctrinal differences and who the doctrine is aimed at. For example, every time I've heard the book of James expounded, it was always a spiritual application which is fine because you can get a lot of practical and instructional things out of James, just as in all of the other books of the Bible, but there are sects and groups out there that use James, Hebrews, etc. to teach salvation by works in the Church Age and skeptics that think there are contradictions, but your book has put things in proper perspective, which in turn is strengthening my Christian walk, thanks a lot for your work.
In Christ, Steve

Reading Rightly Divided has opened my eyes to truths of God’s word that were once confusing. Now when I hear people speak concerning the Word of God I wonder how so many people that proclaim God’s Word so convincing could have missed so much. I see now how we have forced the Word to fit rather than studying the Word to see what God is actually telling us. This book has been God sent, God has answered my prayers to questions I needed answered. I hope this book is seen by millions more. Thanks Dr. Stauffer.

I was given your book (one book rightly divided) and have just begun reading it. I just was wondering what denomination are you affiliated with? I am an independent Baptist and would like to be sure that you believe in the fundamentals of the faith. I know you are a KJB man. Please don't take offense to my comments. I have so many books given to me and I begin to read them and they will try to convince me I can lose my salvation or if I am saved God created me to be saved and others he created to be lost. I am just looking for some good scripturally based readings.

I came across your site by accident and took the time to read through it. I found it to be the most ignorant load of crap I have ever wasted my time reading. How can you preach to anyone about what is right and wrong. How do you know there is a lord and how can you pressume to know what he or she wants people to do. The Harry Potter chronicles are the greatest gift to children in this generation. In a world dominated by tv and computers, isn't it a gift for children to ENJOY reading again? The books are FANTASY stories...its meant to be make believe. Encouraging IMAGINATION. What is wrong with that?
So the books are well researched in the ways of Wicca, I should know, for I am a witch and I was long before Harry Potter existed. Did you bother to learn or know that Wicca doesn't preach right and wrong but trusts that we will make the decision that is right for us. Or that there is no "savior" in Wicca...we are responsible for our own destinies, and obeying some all seeing "God" is not going to make a damn bit of difference. Its not a bad thing to believe in.
Get you head out of you ass.
A loyal Harry Potter fan

I GET CONFUSED SOMETIMES WHEN I STUDY THE BIBLE IN REGARDS TO WHAT IS FOR US NEW TESTAMENT SAINTS AND WHAT APPLIES TO TO JEWS. I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND IF I SHOULD GO TO CHURCH ON SATURDAY AND IF I DON'T TITHE WILL I HAVE A CURSE ON ME. WE ARE OVER $12000 IN CREDIT CARD DEBT!. THEY WERE MAINLY OUR UNWISE AND FOOLISH PURCHASES OVER THE YEARS. WE ARE AFRAID TO FILE BANKRUPTCY BECAUSE WE BELIEVE WE MUST OWE NO MAN NOTHING. I AM 45 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE BEEN BORN AGAIN ABOUT 10 YEARS. I WAS IN A WORD OF FAITH CHURCH FOR THE FIRST YEARS OF MY SALVATION. I WONDER IF I WAS REALLY SAVED THEN? I KNOW THAT I AM NOW. CREFFLO DOLLAR, KEN COPELAND, KEN HAGIN ETC., WERE THE BOOKS I STUDIED ABOUT THE BIBLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WAS LEFT CONFUSED. THE LOCAL WORD OF FAITH CHURCH I ATTENDED USE ALL VERSIONS OF THE BIBLE. FOR SOME REASON I NEVER FELT COMFORTABLE WITH ANY VERSION OTHER THAN THE KJV. IT IS SOMETIMES HARD FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND BUT I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN. I DON'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO MEMORIZE SCRIPTURES THAT ARE NOT IN THE KJV. NO ONE NEVER TOLD ME THAT THE KJV WAS THE TRUE BIBLE. I JUST KNEW IT WHEN I FIRST STARTING STUDYING IT. DR. NOAH HUTCHINGS' PROGRAM HAS REALLY BLESSED ME (WWW.SWRC.COM). THAT'S WHERE I HEARD ABOUT YOUR WEB SITE LAST WEEK. SINCERELY, SISTER PATTY

I just got this book in the mail yesterday from South West Radio Ministry, and I started to read it, and I am so excited to delve into this. I am a Born Again believer who stands for God's Truth, nothing added or taken away from his word, and all I want to do is learn his word, and rightly divide it and if needed defend it correctly, as well as to keep it in my heart. Thank you for this gem! In Christ, George Shew

Excellent information and praise the Lord for your work about rightly dividing, the book, etc. It is of great interest to me how, after "rightly dividing", one can remain a "baptist". If there is only "one baptism"-Eph.4:5, why practice a physical version when I'm sure you clearly teach the spiritual version of baptism found in 1Cor.12:13? I appreciate, also, your work on the KJB. One Book Stands Alone.
Excellent!! A book that should be in every Christian's and Pastor's library.
Dear Brother Stauffer:
I just finished reading Dr. Gipp's book Understandable History of the Bible and Barry Burton's Let's Weigh The Evidence which are very well written and easy to understand books regarding the KJB.
Your book titled "One Book Stands Alone" has been a real blessing to me and I'm sending a copy to a Pastor friend of mine in Oklahoma who has switched to the NKJV to see if we can switch him back.
He's called me "one a them thar King James only fanatics." My answer was "and your point?" But he's a good man and God will convince him of his error.
Also, last week my wife and I were vacationing and in our hotel room I picked up a Gideon Bible expecting to read from the KJB.
Much to my chagrin, they have substituted the KJB with the NKJV.
Our prayers are with you and thanks once again for an excellent study on why the KJB is the only correct intact word of God for today's Christian and Pastor.

Brother Stauffer, What a thrill it is to have the all important wisdom of rightly dividing the word of God. This truth has turned my bible studying upside down. The many conflicting versus in the Bible are so easy to understand when reading the mail that is addressed to you. I thank the Holy Spirit for keeping my heart opened to the many truths I've learned from you. The truths that I understand now are built on rock unlike the quicksand I was on in the charismatic movement. The devil is deceptive and loves to give a sign to those who "require one," but I'm thankful our Saviour gives wisdom to those who seek it. Thanks also to Micah Rockwell and Chip Pardi for presenting the Word for hours on in, you both are truly brothers in Christ. Thanks again brother Stauffer, God Bless and keep up the good work.

Dear Brother Doug, I want to again commend your sound doctrine to the brethren and I know you've taken a lot of flack for actually believing The Book (the one in your hand) and your sound doctrine. Anyway, I wanted to know if you knew how to get The New Pilgrim Study Bible that was advertised in the Southwest Radio Church newsletter a few months ago. I wanted one in the good black leather. I heard that you were a contributing editor on this King James study Bible. Let me know if you can help. SWR did not have any more in leather the last time I contacted them. Thanks a lot for your help Brother Chick Drscheezer@aol.com

Dear webmaster. I appreciate the stand that you are taking. I am a KJV only and will be until the day I die. I believe there is only One Bible; those other "books" they call bibles, I don't think so. I am just glad that there are people out there that are willing to take a stand. I am a student at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida and am studying Theology. I am seeing that more and more men are going into the world after college not knowing what they believe. I believe that a pastor and every Christian must take a stand on the Bible because it is foundational. Thank you for taking a stand. May God continue to Bless you In Christ, Jason Barclay.

Dear Dr. Stauffer,
I want to say THANK YOU for writing this book! I only came across it accidentally, on the KJVStore's website, when I was searching for a new Bible. I'm currently reading it, and find myself saying "yes, exactly!" on almost every page. I have nearly worn out my yellow highlighter, and have been warning my co-workers about this topic. I only wish your book had been available when my children were growing up.
I am so grieved that I actually gave them each an NIV. I never had any inkling about the insidious heresies that have crept in. When I got to the part dealing with the Living Bible, I found myself saying "no way -that is not in there", got out my LB and saw, to my horror, that what you write is truly there. My saintly mother gave each of us an LB when we were in high school, and she would be absolutely appalled at what it contains. But my point is to say how wonderful it is to find SOMEONE in this world who thinks like I do, that the KJB is truly the Bible, and who appreciates the old hymns. Even though I'm "only" 49, I treasure the hymns and wish I could find some place where they are still sung. I grew up using the KJB; it's what I memorized verses from in Sunday school, and those verses still come back to me today. Sadly, my church is barely a shell of what it once was and I want to find another - but they all seem to be the same. The songs are all what I call "campfire, fluff" songs that have no depth or sacredness to them. My church favors the NIV - even uses that for the pews - and sadly the pastor not only uses that but frequently reads out of "The Message". I don't know if you know of Dave Hunt & "The Berean Call" but he's dealt with the topic of new version bibles twisting, changing and perverting the true scripture, as well as the emptiness of the "modern music" so prevalent in churches today. If only there were a website that could let people find churches near them that use only the KJV and still sing and appreciate hymns.
I do have a question though. I use a Scofield Bible, ever since my dad told me years ago to get one (I'd never heard of one before) because "ol man Scofield really knew his Bible". I have never regretted it. My question is, I was under the impression that my current Bible was an NKJV and when I saw, at the bottom of page 130 "...where KJB imposters such as the New Scofield Versions..." I thought "oh no - my Bible too??" But when I checked the verses you use for examples, my Bible has the "thee" and "thou" construction, so I was confused. On the spine of the cover it says "New Scofield Study System", so maybe that's what confused me. But inside it does have many places where it changes a word but places it in brackets and in the margin gives the KJV original. For instance, in 1 Timothy 5:1, it has "Rebuke not an elder, but [exhort]..." and in the margin it says "KJV intreat". My question is, is this an NKJV in disguise, or what? It's an authentic Oxford University Press Scofield Bible; the title page says "the New Scofied Study Bible, authorized King James Version".
I wish your book were more widely known/distributed - and in paperback (my preference). If I hadn't stumbled onto the KJV Store looking for a new Scofield Bible, I may never have heard of it. I am so glad I found it. My kids think I'm on some kind of "conspiracy kick". Little do they know that they are both getting a Scofield KJV for their birthdays, just days away. I'm praying that God will work on their hearts to not just toss it on a shelf somewhere but will give it a chance. I have gone through my son's and underlined everything I have in my own Bible, including all my margin notes, so maybe that will help get his attention. I just pray it's not too late to undo the harm from the NIV, which I gave them myself.
Once again, thank you so very much for writing your excellent book and letting people know what's really going on with God's word.
God bless you!

Dear Bro. Doug, I just can't help but to comment on the skeptics and scoffers that sign your guestbook. You know as well as I that in the age of Grace, people just can't seem to grasp the understanding that GOD's free gift is REALLY FREE! and unto and upon all whom believe! Unfortunately, New age religion and theology has manifested itself within the confines of the NIV, TNIV (Gender neutral), NCV, NLT, NKJV; not to mention Radical faith bibles, Extreme teen bibles, Metal bibles, Magazine perversions (Revolve and Refuel) which include pictures that could only be appreciated by the MTV audience as well as rolling stone magazine. These are NCV based as well. Bro. Doug, Keep up the great work on the Bible version debate.

Dr. Stauffer exposes the Liberal biased lies, justifiably and biblically. Well done! Too bad that this IS the case of the modern era, but evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse.
Canada is even more liberal than the USA as a whole. Canada is up ahead of the States as far as sin and many similar things. Yes, evil is rampant everywhere, but there are leaders, and Canada is definitely that.
We have just become the next country to change the legal definition of marriage to include same sex couples.
Along with liberal T.V. and lies about the Holy Bible; namely the KJV as is now called because of all the usurping upstarts, there is definitely a Falling away of the faith, with man being the final arbiter, just as Satan would have it to be.{Gen.3:1-3}You be your own gods. Prefer your own opinions between two conflicting authorities. Call black white, if that suits you. Garbage supreme. Relentless for the LORD Jesus Christ, Peter Fuhrman

Do have any material regarding church government? I.E. how a church should function, the responsibilities of the Pastor, Deacons, Trustees and the responsibility of the members. I read your book "One Book: Rightly Divided" some time ago, and just as Gail Riplinger's "New Age Bible Versions" did not hit me at first I put it down. But as I studied the Bible out for awhile I realized both books are good and both books God is mightily using. Now I picked it back up read it through again, bought eight copies, and my new ministry is trying to find Bible starving people who are looking for the truth to read it. And now I have some place to CHEERFULLY give too, Because I believe like you.

Brother Douglas,
Praise God that He has given you such wisdom in writing "Homosexual Activist Stars in The End of the Spear Movie"!
My hope is that Evangelicals learn a lesson from movies such as the "Passion" and refuse to put money into the pockets of these enemies of the cross. Today, Mel Gibson is building his Tridentine church w/ profits from the Passion movie. While Mel was speaking from the pulpit of mega churches such as Saddleback and others his true faith condemns all Bible believing Christians to hell with the anathamas of Trent. Those millions of brothers and sisters that died at the stakes and dungeons of Rome are a distant memory (or none at all) to today's Evangelicals that embrace anything with "itching ears" without first taking the responsibility of looking deeper into it.
My prayer is that as the Hollywood left marches on many Evangelicals will turn away from this coming movie and look to God's Word instead. While Evangelicals continue to fill the coffers of this anti-Christian movement and invite papists such as Mel Gibson to stand before their congregations in the Sanctuaries in which God's Holy Word is preached, Hollywood works harder to mix Satan's lies with Biblical Truth as a means to push their anti-Christian and anti-American agendas.
Peace in Christ Alone,

I just got your DVD one book stands alone volume IV. Your message was almost word for word of what I have been trying to tell my Christian brothers and sisters in Christ. I have been teaching middle school in a Christian School for the past year. An incident happened in a Bible Study that I team teach with the high school teacher, who I went to college with, that caused me take a look at the NASB that he used, I use the AV King James exclusively. A student asked the high school teacher why in Mark chapter: 9 the Disciples could not cast the demon out of the boy . The high school teacher began to lecture all around the idea that the Disciples did not have enough faith, and then stopped to take another question, never mentioning 9:29, .....but by prayer and fasting.
At the time I just assumed he forgot to mention 9:29 and I stopped him to bring up 9:29 and answer the question. Later I got a copy of the NASB to find out why he did not know this, because this kept bothering me. I looked at Mark 9:29 in the NASB, to my surprise it was not there; it was omitted. Other incidents in previous Bible teaching that I shared with him began to pop in my mind, and I began to compare other scriptures with my King James. I was shocked at what I found. This started me on a quest to study this issue. I later wrote a three page report o |
